July mood: mid-year feels, commitments and a question.
To all my readers in the place with honor and grace, allow me to check-in with you.
Depending on when you come across this newsletter, it could be a four day weekend so if you’re reading this and not out and about unplugged, you’re a real one and I appreciate your support. It’s cancer season and we are in our feels so it’s only right I slow it down and do a check-in for this edition.
July has a much slower pace to it with most of the US on holiday, school is out, and summer hours are in. As the calendar begins to ease up (or not), we start to nuzzle into those long warm nights of contemplation I can’t help but think about how at this time of year there’s so much focus on not focusing lol Okay, hear me out. On the other hand, as soon as we get to the middle of the year the average person will most likely check-in on any commitments they’ve set in the beginning of the year and then begin to feel some kind of way about the status of them. I’ll be honest and say I can be that girl when life starts lifing wondering when my hard work will start to pay off. So instead of harboring on when the benefits of my due diligence will manifest, the focus for July is to really check in, rearrange, reorganize my needs so that I continue to honor the commitments I made for 2024 so not lose my focus. I talked a lot about how I wanted grow my confidence this year in January and I even even shared in my own circles what that looks like for me in hopes for others to do the same for their commitments. Being consistent with writing this newsletter is one of them so I thank you for engaging as encouragement. Accountability, yay.
Honor (verb): to fulfill (an obligation) or keep (an agreement).

This is my Mareesa Allyse era and as much as I’d like to say I’m enjoying it, I have to remind myself that following a new path is not a cake walk. So July is all about honoring the commitments I made to accept and embody this journey, while allowing room for grace to refocus and charge myself up for the next half of the year.
Okay, your turn:
What are you doing this month to honor the commitments you’ve made to yourself? What’s something you’d like to change, rearrange, pour in or recommit to?
Be Safe and I’ll catch ya’ll in the comment section.
Love,
Reesa
Thanks for sharing this. Just finished my vacation here and getting ready to go back to work
